OCTOBER 22

OCTOBER 22

limang taon man ang nakalipas
tandang tanda parin namin ang iyong kalinga

para sa ika limang taong pagkamatay ng aking tatay!
we will continue missing you!

wag kang lalapit,
kahit ako'y takot sa sarili ko
walang tubig sa aking mundo
sabay lamang tayong magiging abo

Magliliyab, magiging abo

at maninikit hanggang maging sugat

sa lahat ng pakay na gawing buo

Humihingi ako ng tawad

mas matigas sa iyo ang akala mong nagkalat na bato

mas matatag,mas buo, mas solido

ang bungo na humihiwalay sa aking mukha at pagkatao

FRIDAY

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love

Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate...

I don't care if Mondays black
Tuesday, Wednesday - heart attack
Thursday, never looking back
It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday, you can hold your head
Tuesday, Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday - watch the walls instead
It's Friday, I'm in love

Saturday, wait
And Sunday always comes too late
But Friday, never hesitate...

Dressed up to the eyes
It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
Spinning round and round
Always take a big bite
It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
You can never get enough
Enough of this stuff
It's Friday, I'm in love

I don't care if Monday's blue
Tuesday's grey and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
It's Friday, I'm in love

Monday you can fall apart
Tuesday, Wednesday break my heart
Thursday doesn't even start
It's Friday I'm in love

My Favorite Painting

The Duchess of Devonshire, 1876

Georgiana was often referred to as "the beautiful Duchess of Devonshire" but as multiple sources and her own mother have claimed, she wasn't physically beautiful. Historians base their opinion on her portraits, which just show how biased I am because I see a physically beautiful woman looking back. But the portraits could also be inaccurate because Georgiana was a very difficult person for artists to paint for some reason. Gainsborough was said to have thrown down his paintbrush in frustration because he couldn't properly capture her countenance, and even her son. Hart, would go on to say no painting ever really looked like her. Similarly, when Fanny Burney finally met Georgiana she was surprised how average the looks of "the beautiful duchess" were. But upon further meetings she changed her mind and decided Georgiana was indeed beautiful.
This painting was preserved until this day. But for some time it got stolen.
Adam Worth, a master criminal with a history of robbing banks and forging documents, stole Thomas Gainsborough’s ” Duchess of Devonshire” to get the bail money needed to release his jailed brother. When the brother got out of prison on his own, Worth initially kept the painting, but later sold it for a ransom. He died a year later with little money to speak of. Fun Fact: Worth was the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes’ arch nemesis, Dr. Moriarty, in Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s novels.

ON THE ROAD, JACK KEROUAC

"The only people who interest me are the mad ones, mad to live, mad to talk, mad to be save and desirous of everything at the same time, the ones who never yawn or say a commonplace thing, like fabulous yellow roman candles exploding like spiders across the stars and in the middle, you see the blue center-light pop, and everybody goes Awww!" -Jack Kerouac , On the Road

HONESTY

Honesty is the opposition of fear. People hide what they fear, what exposes their weaknesses, and what they cannot handle. On the other hand, once the information in question is well-understood, its complications are manageable, and its exposure doesnt threaten their holders, that information become a candidate for publishing. The motives for any party to publish any piece of information varies greatly according to the field and type of information.

On social and personal levels, honesty comes as a balance of self-acceptance and expected acceptance of others. That is to say, people are usually honest about issues that they themselves have accepted, and (when applicable) how accepted that would make them among their peers. The harsh fact is, our societies lack honesty at serious levels. People in general are far more accepting of nicely wrapped lies than facing honest truths. While some might find that to be totally unalarming, it is in fact a problematic issue. Dont misunderstand what I am saying: It is perfectly normal for people to hide information, and maybe it is wise in certain occasions. The alarming problem is when (legitimate) honesty is perceived as a criminal offense. When people go to trial for expressing their opinions, or they are being abandoned for stating what is an ugly truth.

This concern also extends to interpersonal relationships where lack of honesty is the overwhelming trend in most interpersonal relationships. The consequence of this lack is that most relationships are seriously shallow since they all lack transparent communication. It is a fact that all of us are emotionally hindered to open up about our personal issues to others, even our significant others. The matter of fact is: we fail to transparently communicate ourselves even when we intend to. This observation comes as an indication of our severe disabilities in self-growth, especially self-acceptance! Yes, that right, it all boils back to our failure to accept our own! Conventional parenting as well as the conventional path of developing relationships in our current societies leads to severe discouragement of self-exploration, self-discovery, and self-development... This impacts our egoistic selves in the first place, and the general society in the second place where the individuals are less advanced in counterpart open societies.

steps to make work fun

There are times when I just wanted to walk out of my office, get some sleep and never ever look back. i love my job, though when my laziness knocks in, my working drive dries out. so just to remind me how i love working, i compiled some list on ways to make my work fun and exciting.

Here are 4 simple steps to make work fun:

1. choose your mood
you can choose the way you do your work, even if there is not a choice about the work itself. Choosing the right attitude for the day should become a daily routine. It will provide you the energy and faith you need to guide you through the day. So what is the weather going to be like for you today? Think Sunny!

2.make work like play
you can be professional and make a profit while having fun at work. when work seems more like play you will have more interest and energy to get tasks started and finished. look for ways to break the tension or to insert a little humor into the day.

3.make their day
Your positive attitude and sense of play should bring a smile to your face and to the faces of your coworkers and customers. Remember to include everyone in on the joke. Sharing a smile, a compliment, a thoughtful gesture will make someone's day. They will be thankful and will remember your goodness.

4.be present:
because we can think twice as fast as we can hear, its easy to let our minds wonder during conversations. be attentive. listen to others with all your senses and look for clues to understand not only the statements made but also the meaning behind them. ask questions to sum up points to make sure you understand both the facts and meaning. it takes courage and determination to take action and affect change. But sitting still and doing nothing is costly.
